Hi, I’m your TA, Andrew; this letter is trying to help you understand the confusing and challenging part of Science 10. You can read this, or you can ignore it. It is your choice.

As you know, we teach and learn in English but are not native English speakers. So, we must spend more time studying a specific course and understanding what teachers are discussing.
你也知道，在这里我们教授和学习都是全英文的，但是最关键的问题是，我们不是英语母语者。所以有时候我们需要花费比英语母语者更多的时间来学习这门课程。
There is a topic that I should say before. When you enter this school, in some ways, you should think of yourself as a native English speaker. You have to think in English, not Chinese anymore. I know you guys depend on your friends who speak Chinese or me. You should change it RIGHT NOW! Thinking in English is difficult, but it is very useful for improving your understanding of English. So, if you are reading this letter in Chinese, please STOP and try your best to understand this letter in English.
这一点我应该在这封信之前告诉你。当你进入这里之后，在某些方面你应该像英文母语者一样阅读理解思考，虽然这很困难，说实话我也很难每时每刻做到，但你应该尽力做到。所以如果你现在在用中文读这封信，请现在停下，并尽你最大的努力读完这封信。
Firstly, when copying the lesson topic, you should have a summary of today’s lesson. After the subject, this topic should be defined in English. You SHOULD NOT type the English word into a translator; try to understand the subject after you know the meaning or explanation.
Secondly, there are some class keywords, and you can copy them down, but I hope you can understand them and write the definition by yourself, not copy the description directly from the teacher.
Third, each slide has a topic, which summarizes each part. I recommend you use a different colour pen to write the topic, which will make you spend less time reviewing.
Lastly, before you do the Moodle homework or quiz, review the whole class and the notes that you have taken. The homework is a kind of review that helps you understand the lesson.
